Acoustic Cloud Simulation for Car Cockpit
Demand Background Automotive NVH is a comprehensive index to measure the quality of automotive manufacturing. Early detection of NVH problems is critical because structural decisions for car cockpits are made during the initial design phase and are not easily modified later. The acoustic simulation analysis of the car cockpit can provide the basis for optimizing the early design scheme of the car and help enterprises reduce the cost, shorten the development cycle, and improve the sound quality of the car. Solution In order to meet the requirements of a well-known enterprise to develop new energy series cars and improve the sound quality of the car cockpit, IBE developed an acoustic simulation application for calculating the sound field distribution in a closed space based on the cloud simulation platform, which can calculate the acoustic mode of the car cockpit, plot the frequency response curve at any point, and export audio files. This assists engineers in design evaluation, helps enterprises determine the acoustic characteristics of the cockpit in the early stage of design, identifies potential problems as much as possible, and reduces the cost of prototype manufacturing and personnel rework. Meanwhile, it also provides a cloud simulation platform, facilitating collaborative work in …
